Tommii Lim is an International Korean born American artist who resides in and represents Los Angeles as an official muralist for the city of LA. He confronts the zeitgeist of today’s instant gratification, digital era by building large scale works that demand the attention of viewers. HIs artworks are a deconstruction of observations and ideas through minimalist forms seduced into high contrast, black and white compositions. Lim disrupts a viewer's line of sight by building bold, immersive installations using forced perspective techniques in which he manipulates the human eye into forming 3 dimensional objects using 2 dimensional surfaces, often allowing the viewer to physically walk into and live in his art works for a moment in time. He was trained and managed under the late Karl Bornstein (MOCA / Patrick Nagel) and his award winning works have been featured in various walls, publications, broadcasts and projects around the globe. Lim is an advocate for health conscious creatives and trains physically as an athlete muralist constantly exploring the outdoor worlds while creating in search of mind + body balance in art.
